“My favorite American art this season was inspired by my mother's parents, Jack and Laila Brooks. They had a farm in Barry, Texas. Proud Texans, they raised 4 children, Hereford cattle, chickens and ducks. They grew cotton, peaches, plums, grapes and a big vegetable garden. It was a magical place for our family, built with a lot of love and hard work. Countless good memories fill our hearts and souls.”
